'The Angels' Share'. So called due to close proximity to the Isle of Harris Distillery and all the amenities of the village, Village Cottage provides a comfortable and spacious base for your holiday in the Hebrides. The house allows easy access to the beaches of South Harris and the hills and glens of North Harris, as well as for forays further afield to Lewis and Scalpay. Extensively renovated during 2020 and 2021, the house has a lovely, well equipped kitchen and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. Smart TVs in each bedroom and the sitting room, an interesting library and vintage vinyl should entertain in the evenings or days in. If you have to do a little work over your holiday, there is a little desk in the sitting room with a few sundries for you to use.

Owner Christina's collection of original paintings and framed vintage silk scarves combine with beautiful contemporary fabrics and furniture to create a characterful, comfortable house.

The family creel fishing boat can provide you with sparkling fresh seafood year round. The owners live locally, just a few miles down the Golden Road, and are on hand should any assistance be needed.

Accommodation is arranged over two with a large sitting room, cloakroom, kitchen and utility room on the ground floor. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with King size bed and en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom and bathroom.

Everything is provided for a comfortable night’s sleep from a deep mattress, Egyptian cotton bed linen and ample high quality towels.

For families, a highchair, nursery guard for the wood burning stove and a small selection of children’s toys and books are available. Mega beach towels and buckets and spades are provided for beach adventures – no need to pack them.

There is no garden or private outside space, but there is ample parking.
